Start your global investment journey
Follow these simple steps to begin your journey towards global investing.
Who can invest
Resident individuals, non-resident Indians (NRIs), and other eligible entities can invest through Jaypee GAP, subject to applicable regulatory guidelines and onboarding requirements. Under the IFSCA framework, permitted clients are:
- A person resident in India, to the extent permitted under the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 and the rules and regulations made thereunder; and
- A person resident outside India, as provided under the provisions of the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 and rules and regulations made thereunder.
Funding and the LRS limit
Resident Indian investors may remit funds through authorised banking channels under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS) of the Reserve Bank of India, or any other applicable regulatory route. For resident individuals, investments are subject to the limits prescribed under LRS — currently up to USD 250,000 per financial year, or as may be updated by regulators from time to time. All client funds for global access are routed through a bank account maintained with an International Banking Unit in the IFSC.
